One of Wolfville's oldest homes : " Annandale" was built in 1794 by Daniel DeWolfe, son of Planter Jehiel DeWolfe, where he and his wife Mary Anne Pryor ( Sister of Acadia University's first President, John Pryor) raised 16 Children ! Lewis Johnston (physician) purchased the home in 1812 and named it Annandale after his family estate in the valley of the Annan River in Scotland.
